Jeremy Cox was introduced to archery when his children participated in a Cub Scout archery event and joined the Kishwaukee Archery youth league. Inspired by how enjoyable archery is as a family activity, his family became members of the club, and Jeremy began shooting as well. He now leads archery nights for various groups, including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Scouting America Troops. Jeremy also enjoys offering private and small group lessons for kids and families. He is a certified USA Archery Level 2 Instructor, an Instructor Trainer, and a Scouting America Archery merit badge counselor.
Jim Chelsvig

Jim Chelsvig started as an archery instructor in 2015 and helped run archery activities at various events. After retiring in 2018, he became an assistant instructor at an archery shop in Montgomery, IL, and the following year became the lead instructor for most classes. In late 2020, he began teaching beginner and intermediate archery classes for local park districts, offering classes for ages 9 and up, including seniors, teens, and families. In 2023, he introduced an advanced class for kids excelling in the intermediate level.
Jim teaches using basic recurve bows, though he is skilled with traditional longbows and compound bows. His preferred shooting style is barebow with string walking. He offers individual and group lessons and provides all necessary equipment for beginners.
